DESCRIPTION:New Diver Launch Night\nYour scuba journey starts here. \nOur New Diver Launch Night is the official first session of your scuba certification course and is designed to set you up for success from day one. This relaxed\, informative evening gives new divers the opportunity to meet their instructor\, get organized\, and prepare for the exciting training ahead. \nDuring this session\, we will complete all required administrative paperwork\, including medical history forms\, liability waivers\, and student registration materials. Each student will receive their student folder and course information packet. \nWe will also review schedules together and personally plan out all upcoming training dates\, including: \n\nAcademic sessions\nConfined water/pool training\nOpen water certification dives\n\nOur goal is to provide a flexible\, concierge-style training experience that works with your schedule whenever possible. \nStudents will need their own personal snorkeling equipment for class\, including: \n\nMask\nSnorkel\nFins\nBooties\nLogbook\n\nProperly fitted equipment is an important part of comfort\, safety\, and enjoyment underwater. We provide professional guidance and fitting assistance to help each diver select equipment that fits correctly and performs well. Retail equipment is available for purchase for students who need gear. \nIf you already own equipment\, you are welcome to use it provided it fits properly\, is in safe condition\, and meets current recreational diving standards. We will also help you learn how to evaluate and understand your own gear. \nOnce course payment has been received\, students will be emailed their eLearning access code along with guidance on how to access and successfully use the online learning system. \nWhether you are completely new to diving or finally taking the step to become certified\, New Diver Launch Night is where the adventure begins. The plan is to complete two recreational dives\, with plenty of time between dives to relax\, socialize\, and share stories. \nThis is a great opportunity to: \n• Meet fellow local divers\n• Gain experience in a relaxed environment\n• Explore one of Florida’s favorite inland dive sites\n• Stay active and keep your diving skills current\n• Enjoy a fun day with the diving community \nNeptune’s Splendor will provide a site briefing and help coordinate the day’s activities. DESCRIPTION:NAUI Advanced Open Water Diver Program\nOur NAUI Advanced Open Water program is designed for divers who want to become more capable\, confident\, and self-sufficient in real-world diving conditions. This is not a generic “intro to specialties” course. It is a structured training program focused on developing practical diving skills\, sound judgment\, and advanced diving knowledge for local Florida diving and beyond. \nLaunch Night & Academic Session\nThe course begins with a dedicated Launch Night where we complete all administrative requirements and prepare for the training schedule ahead. During this session we will: \n\nComplete medical history forms and waivers\nOrganize student folders and course materials\nReview and schedule all training dives\nDiscuss course expectations and equipment needs\n\nWe will also conduct our first academic session covering: \n\nDive planning\nGas management\nEquipment configuration\nDive computers and accessories\nLocal diving considerations and environmental factors\n\nThere is also a required eLearning component that students will complete throughout the course. \nRequired Equipment\nDuring the AOW Launch session\, we will discuss the equipment best suited to your diving goals\, experience level\, and local diving conditions. We’ll provide personalized guidance and answer your questions\, with appropriate equipment options available for those interested. \nStudents must provide the following equipment for the course: \n\nDSMB (Delayed Surface Marker Buoy)\nFinger spool\nCutting device\nPrimary dive light\n\nA dive slate is strongly recommended. \nStudents are also responsible for providing all standard scuba equipment required for the diving environment and conditions encountered throughout the course\, including appropriate exposure protection (wetsuit) for spring\, lake\, and ocean dives. Rentals are available. \nDive Day 1 — Local Spring TBD\nOur first training dives focus on environmental awareness\, limited visibility procedures\, and light communication protocols.
